Healthcare operations & regulatory advisory

From approved plans to a licensed, running hospital.

Yau & Co. advises hospital owners, investors and operators across Southeast Asia. We cover licensing, clinical services planning and operational readiness. Our advice comes from people who have run wards and operating theatres themselves.

Services

Where we help

01

Hospital set-up & commissioning

We cover new builds, expansions and conversions: service mix, bed and theatre planning, staffing models, equipment lists and a commissioning plan that ends with a safe opening day.

02

Licensing & regulatory compliance

We handle healthcare facility licensing, renewals and changes of service in Singapore and Malaysia. That includes readiness for inspections, the policies and records regulators expect, and the requirements for clinical facilities and infection control.

03

Clinical services development

We set up and grow surgical, endoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery services. That covers credentialing, case-mix planning, theatre workflow and outcome monitoring.

04

Governance, quality & research

We build clinical governance structures, quality and patient-safety programmes, data and registry projects, and research units, so that a facility can show its standards as well as claim them.

Approach

How an engagement runs

  1. Assess

We look at the site, the plans, the market and the regulatory position. You get a plain account of what is feasible, the risks and the critical path.

  2. Plan

We draw up the service plan, staffing, policies and the licensing route, sequenced against construction and recruitment.

  3. Prepare

We assemble the submissions, prepare for inspections and run operational readiness drills before patients arrive.

  4. Open & sustain

We support the opening and the first months of operation, and hand over governance so your team can run it.
